Inman Quarter is a mixed-used development located at 280 Elizabeth Street in Atlanta’s beloved Inman Park neighborhood. The development sits on a 3.3-acre site with frontage on Elizabeth Street NE, North Highland Avenue NE, and Lake Avenue NE. Inman Quarter is comprised of 200 residential apartments, 40,000 square feet of curated retail space and a 570-space parking garage. The site’s myriad challenges included varying topography along the three road frontages, aging and insufficient municipal storm sewer infrastructure that ran through the middle of the parcel, recognized environmental conditions, and complex zoning and architectural controls related to two zoning overlay districts were amplified by the neighborhood’s expectation that the development responsibly and artistically reflect Inman Park’s distinguished history, present needs and future urban tempo. Despite the challenges, the development team delivered a soulful project that exceeded all exceptions and set a new standard for infill development in Atlanta. Upon its completion in 2015, Inman Quarter received a Development of Excellence award from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and set a record high sales price for the submarket when it sold-off market later that year.
