Jarel Portman founded JPX Works in 2011 to focus on urban in-fill development and redevelopment opportunities in his hometown of Atlanta, GA and the broader Sunbelt. Jarel’s vision for JPX Works is to elevate the architectural and interior design of commercial development projects to create differentiated assets that improve the built environment and offer the potential for outsized returns. Jarel sets the strategic direction for JPX Works and remains hands-on in the day to day operation of the company.

Prior to founding JPX Works, Jarel spent 25 years in the Portman family businesses, where he worked with a diverse set of professional teams on complex design and development projects across the globe.

Jarel earned a bachelor's degree in hotel management from Florida International University.
